RE: [Essentially Ours] Possible cat poisoning?
Adele,
He can always give them charcoal pills. I just did that for a cat of mine that I felt a neighbor had done something to. I put lavender and Theives diluted a little on her paw pads, as well as on the inside of her ear skin, plus I rubbed the rest on her body. She didn't mind it at all. I popped a charcoal pill down her throat.
Runny nose with clogging is common in cats, it's upper respiratory infection. Not usually caused by poisoning. It can also be cat herpes virus. I had a kitten who had that and he never could clear up his amazing snot. Sneezing huge loogies all over the place, any time anywhere.
As for it being a uri, that too is usually a virus, unless they get a secondary bacterial infection. A uri can be cleared up with antibiotics is bacterial, and the support of YLEO can help a ton. I would even try R.C. on my cats. I have also used Frankensense on my cats and my dog. I have also tried using Echinacea on my cats. They don't like to eat it. I would try using child drops of Echinacea on the cat. Comes with a dropper, no alcohol, and Easy to give to the cat.
I have found that certain cats of mine are in danger, the ones that go accross the street to the neighbors yards. I swear this neighbor was fattening my cat and going to EAT her. So sad, I'm so glad I found my cat in her back yard on time. The cat couldn't jump the fence so I had to jump the fence, rescue my cat, and jump back over. So, that cat has to stay indoors now. That's the only way to protect her. Between my next door neighbor and I we have had 7 cats go missing in 1.5 years. That's too many too fast. Lots of rotten cat haters out there, or they like them too much and eat them. NO KIDDING!!
Good luck,
Carimda
