Not such a good idea as the antibiotics kill off the probiotics, but not
bad either, just a waste of probiotics.
Instead, wait until the antibiotics have finished the course. Then for
your 93 lb daughter, I'd start with 5 of the 3 billion count
acidophilous with a meal that includes some milk products - milk,
cheese, etc. (The army needs feeding.)
If not a lot of gas and cramping, on the 3rd ay, increase to 10, and
then dose 10 capsules every other day for three more times.
By then, her stool should be very light in color, and not as smelly. It
should be a yellowish or orangy brown. Dark and smelly are signs of
poor gut flora and fauna and perhaps a yeast invasion. Stool watching
isn't pleasant to think about, but it's a good indication of gut health.
