Hi Jacquelyn,
Here are a copy of all the files I have. I hope this helps.

Tue Jan 30, 2007 9:21 pm (PST) Anything ending in "itis" means
inflammation, so anti-inflammatory oils would be a good choice.... I'd probably first
try wintergreen, because I just love it, and have had good results with it
for relieving pain..... but experiement with different anti-inflammatory
oils to figure out what works best for him (Aroma Siez is awesome too). The
other side of that is that it is usually caused by a tightening of fascia (a
tissue that covers the muscle), and the muscle itself. It'd be great if
you could find a massage therapist trained in the Stuart Taws' technique
'Soft Tissue Release'.... basically, the way to work it is to pull the toes
back towards your shin, and pull the foot the same direction, as you massage
down the foot, in a stretching motion.... you'll probably have to start off
VERY gently at first, it can be a little intense. Also, focus on stretching
the achilles tendon and the calves. And, it's always good to stretch both
sides at the same time, so it's good to
stretch the shins while you're at it, but really focus on the back of the
leg. Also, I've heard some people have had pretty good results with a boot
specially made for plantar fascitis, that flexes the foot up while you
sleep. Good luck!

Finally, one day I had a flash of inspiration, and mixed up this blend for
myself.
Within a day, the pain was lessening, and now I have to consciously
remember to put it on because mostly the pain is gone. This is a minor
miracle, since I was unable to do more than hobble for 5-6 months.
I have no education in blending oils, and have no idea if what I did was
"right" or "wrong", but it worked a miracle for me, and I will continue to
use it for myself. Oh, and it worked wonderfully for my son's sprained
knee also.
Here is the blend I use:
10 Melaleuca
10 Lavender
10 Birch
10 Fir
7 Marjoram
2-4 Peppermint
30 or more Jojoba carrier oil
(I would have also added 10 Cypress, but do not have it.)
I put it all in an empty YL bottle, and keep it by my bed, to put on each
morning and night. I spread 3-4 drops over the entire bottom of my foot,
and up and around the back of the heel all the way to the ankle.
If it weren't for these oils, I probably wouldn't be walking at all now,
so you can imagine how much I believe in them.
IT ALSO WORKED FOR MY SON'S SPRAINED ANKLE
Good luck,
Janet
I also had success with using oregano and thyme oil on my plantar wart. I
applied them a few times a day and it went away in 3 weeks.
Thanks!
Elisa
Thanks! Carla.

Plantar Fasciitis I had this problem years ago and
would get regular injections and then more weight would compound the
problem. The pain was so bad I would give in and get another shot. Never
once did this Foot Dr. tell me there was a simple solution. All you need
to do is strech the ligiments in the foot. I found if you just slowly
while walking up the stairs lower your foot (heel) lower than the step, it
would streach the heel and the pain would go away. Women who wore
heels all the time have the same probme in the back of their legs by
the ankles... need to strech thoes bands in the foot..

I was running track in HS. We had to practice for a while on the blacktop.
I ran the quarter, and the half. In practice, it felt like a knife going
through the bottom of my foot. It was torturous, because we ran, and ran,
and ran,
for two hours every day, after school. My feet were in "major pain". This
went on for a few weeks, until we started practicing on a cinder track at
the college: U. of Missouri, at Rolla.
My Dad, a D.O. told me to stand over a tennis ball,
and rub my foot on, it back and forth, every evening after practice. That
did help. It stretched the ligaments out sufficiently, that the pain went
down,
until it eventually went away. I was young then too, only 16.
