Salt bars usually help with exfoliation and (claimed by some who make
them) detoxification of the skin.

But what I find weird is that you get no lather--all the salt bars
I've had have had at least some lather, if a bit less than a standard
soap bar--most soapers who make salt bars add more coconut because
that helps with the lathering of the bar.

I'd ask the person you got the bar from why she chose to have the bar
with no lather--she may not be aware of it or she may have intended it
that way. Since I don't know who made your bar I couldn't really say.
