Hi, I'm brand new to the list. I joined to ask questions about EOs for use in soapmaking, but I wanted to start by asking about herbs and spices for use in cooking.

I'm sick to death of buying these and finding they are stale. Especially spices, because I can grow herbs.

I do buy whole spices and grind in mortar and pestle, or small coffee grinder, but even so they often have less flavor than I would expect. And I prefer whole spices to extractives for cooking so there is no issue of how much to use.

I have often wondered if there's a way I could hook up with vendors in places like Madagascar or India without having to buy kilos at a time. Do you kind folks know of someone who is importing reasonably fresh herbs and spices for sale in retail quantities?
